Installation

Before installing either product you will need to jailbreak your iPhone and install the software. Sorry, installation can’t be done remotely, and you need to have physical possession of the iPhone. Both FlexiSPY and MobileSpy use Cydia to deliver the software but MobileSpy can’t remove the Cydia icon and it is obvious that the device is jailbroken and that something has been added to the phone. Another problem with the Cydia catalogue system that MobileSpy uses is that upon their next product update, the target iPhone will be notified, causing immediate suspicion. In fact, it displays a BIG RED ICON that indicates software has been installed, and prompts removing it.

The final step of installing Mobilespy is to send an SMS with the ID and password. If you have the device in your hands this is okay, but it is a problem if you need to change it later because the target will see the SMS and can then log into the web account. For Mobilespy the ID and password used to deliver events to the web account must be the same one used to log in to look at data. To change the web password, the password on the phone also needs to be changed.

We think keeping the installation discreet is important to most users, and we’ve made the effort to program our software correctly to keep it hidden. Admin Settings and Controls

One of the key features to keeping spy phone software undetectable is to be able to create event delivery profiles. Mobilespy does not offer this feature. There are no user definable setting in Mobilespy, which means no admin interface or remote control and no way to control when data updates will happen. The GPS feature can be configured to take location readings at regular intervals of between 1 and 60 minutes. What this means is that there is full control over how and when data is sent.

FlexiSPY PRO and LIGHT are able to be change settings remotely by SMS commands. FlexiSPY BASIC requires the use of the admin interface, which requires physical possession of the phone.

FlexiSPY also allows remote disabling while MobileSpy does not.

Features and Functions

Mobilespy rounds call duration to the minute, FlexiSPY offers more accurate call times. This is an obvious benefit to knowing what is going on. For SMS and call logs we retrieve the name in the device address book letting you know if it is a known number rather than the cover story that it is a wrong number. This may not sound like much, but in actual use to know that the call or SMS is from someone in the phone address book tells a lot.

FlexiSPY provides an email relay service that will email all new event data to you as soon as it arrives at the server, so there is no need to log in continually. Unlike Mobilespy, password changes at the web login have no effect on the iPhone, and may be changed at any time

FlexiSPY LIGHT does everything BASIC does, but also captures emails from all mail accounts on the iPhone. FlexiSPY PRO adds a remote listening capability also called spy call. This allows you to set a special number in the target device. When the iPhone senses an incoming call from this number, it will silently answer, with no indication on the screen. Web Account

FlexiSPY and Mobile Spy use a web-based account to access phone activity information. Both allow you to filter your event by types such as GPS, Call Records, SMS. FlexiSPY has all these plus Email, and a tab called SYSTEM which is used by the device to communicate diagnostic information and problems.

Mobilespy has zero diagnostic capabilities, so if there is a hiccup in the connectivity, or the SIM card is removed, you are high and dry.
